Filmmaker Ryan White captures Dr. Ruth’s exuberant personality as she hopscotches from speaking engagements to TV and radio appearances. Her infectious energy is coloured with an arresting openness that is joyous and non-judgmental. Alongside her optimism, however, is the spectre of her childhood as an orphan of the Holocaust. The tragic loss of her family shaped how she would eventually embrace the world.
